¹⁴ Your fame spread throughout the nations because of your beauty. In fact, it was perfect because of my splendor, which I had bestowed upon you, declares the Lord God.

¹⁵ But you trusted in your beauty, and, relying on your fame, you acted like a prostitute. You lavished your lust on every man passing by—you became his. ¹⁶ You took some of your clothing and made colorful high places for yourself and acted like a prostitute on them. Such things should not happen. They should not be!
